This film presents the first part of a six-part poem from Kate’s first collection The Observances.

The poem, Girl Running Still, describes the Nereid Monument, a monumental Lycian tomb from Xanthos, south-west Turkey.

The tomb, which includes columns, sculptural nymphs and friezes, is on display at The British Museum.
